Talk about adorable! Between Carolines’ dimples for days, Blairs smile when Caroline gets close and their sweet golden, Leo….it’s just too much y’all! You never know which one of your classmates in high school could end up being your husband. If you did, you might dress differently, hang out with other people, avoid getting that bad hair cut…nonetheless, Caroline and Blair had no idea then, but have since seen the light. Boy, am I glad they did, too! They are seriously, such a great match, their laid back but intentional personalities mesh so well together it is nearly nauseating…but not quite! We started off our shoot at their future home near white rock lake and then headed out to one of my favorite spots to finish out our time together and I am smitten how they turned out!

If I am being completely honest, when behind the camera, I rarely have it hard. But, when I have couples like Kindall and Matt, my job is so easy it is laughable…which they did, a lot! Kindall and Matt are one of those couples that bring joy with them wherever they go. Nervous laughter turns into the real thing so quickly, you rarely can tell when the switch took place and well, who doesn’t love a couple like that? We met in Houston for a Hermann Park engagement shoot and from the very beginning, I knew my job would be to sit back and let them love each other and I am so glad I did. They brought their adorable pups, Lola and Vega along for our session and they were quite the models. I think these four make quite the cute family, don’t you?

Their wedding day was nothing short of gorgeous, a day that would see hundreds of loved ones come to celebrate in Alex’s childhood backyard and party in the only way they know how…the Italian way. Seriously, I need some more brides with deep Italian roots! This party was AWESOME! Once the chorus of “That’s Amore!” began to fade and the best lasagna and cannolis ever were all gone, Alex and Ty shared the dance floor and said their goodbyes. A perfect end to a truly perfect day.

If you asked me what the perfect Springtime engagement session would look like, it would be this one. Morgan and Cody, you two couldn’t be more adorable and I couldn’t be more blessed to call you two my clients. Talk about a perfect match, Morgan is the creative who dreams big and out of the box while Cody is the calculated and realistic one. She brings him into a world of ease and joy while he provides the foundation for everything she dreams for them. He is her rock and her reality, and she is the woman who makes his reality beautiful. Time spent with these two is time well spent and I couldn’t have been more blessed by them on this gorgeous Spring day!

She is precise, and knows what she wants. He is kind and ambitious. When these two met eyes in a grocery store for the first time, Meggie knew she had to know Matt. She purposely went down aisles that she didn’t need to go down, smiled his direction, and even had the guts to say “hi!”. Matt, however, was a little taken back and hesitant to stick his neck out on the line just yet. You see, he had just moved to Dallas and was just hitting the ground running when this brunette bombshell set her gaze in his direction. It wasn’t until she made her intentions clear in the parking lot that Matt knew he needed to make his move…and he wouldn’t, until they were stopped at the same red light. Windows down, lights turning green and people waiting, Matt asked Meggie for her phone number and the rest is history. She is still determined and intentional and he is still kind and driven. I don’t think you could match a pair together better than Meggie and Matt and it wasn’t more evident than on our engagement session on a cloudy april evening…

They had a gorgeous Perkins Chapel Wedding on the beautiful campus of SMU on a truly perfect Saturday in April. Add in their beautiful reception at The Room On Main and the gorgeous Fairmont Hotel where all of the prep took place, and this gorgeous day is one their loved ones will never forget.

Even more evident than these however, is the love that Courtney and Levi have for each other. Levi’s excitement was palpable throughout the day, his smile was bigger than I’ve ever seen and it never left his face. But really, he seriously smiled the same smile all day. When he saw Courtney coming down the aisle, that same grin grew 10x larger and he made all of the women cry, because there is nothing more treasured than a groom who treasures his bride. Sweet glances and kisses were a common sight throughout the rest of the evening, and the room was a buzz with congratulations. There are few things more beautiful than a couple in love, but these two…they’re on a whole other level. Add in some creativity, some vintage vibes and the Hickory Street Annex, and you have one incredible day…

I love proposals. They are the start to the things I love most about my job. “Yes!” marks the beginning of one of the most fun chapters of every couples love story that I have the distinct pleasure of providing the “illustrations” for. I can tell you guys now…this love story, it is already a blessed and memorable one and I am honored to have photographed it’s new start!

Benjamin contacted me a little while back. I could hear the excitement in his voice as he began to tell me about his plans…

There would be six stations. At each one would be a loved one with a gorgeous bouquet of roses and another clue, all of which would eventually lead to him. He told me that his family would make up the first three stops. His brother would be first…

His beautiful sister would be the second…

and his wonderful parents would be third…

And if you weren’t teary eyed already, let me tell you how great our God is and how big Benjamin’s love for Carissa is. Carissa took a leap of faith a while back to move to Texas from Oregon. If the distance  of 2,127 miles isn’t enough to make you wonder why, then the weather and scenery switch is. Only God could convince someone to move from one of his most beautiful creations (seriously, I’d drive to Oregon every day if it meant I could stay.) But God had bigger plans more beautiful than his creation…he had a love story in mind.  A love story that would bring Carissa a man who would bring her family 2,127 miles for these moments…

First her sister and brother in love…

And then her incredible parents…

Last, and definitely not least…Benjamin!

Like I said…the best love stories start with “Yes!”
