I was absolutely that kid. You know the one. The kid who brought more than 6 disposable cameras to one week of Summer camp. And, maybe one of them was water proof, but no one can tell me I wasn't ready, enthused and inspired. It wasn't until I began my professional photography career in 2009, that I realized I'd played this role before. The documenter, the dreamer, the one who couldn't let a moment go without proof of it's existence. 

Fourteen years, hundreds of clients, and hundreds of thousands of images have led me here. Now a wife and mom, the moments I capture have never held more meaning or importance. Maybe you're a little like me in that way. The more life you've lived, the more of it you want to hold close? 

From educating thousands of photographers through Develope Academy and creating editing tools for thousands of photographers with Kindred Presets, I've found myself in a truly unique position of influence. My biggest hope, as a leading photographer in our country, is to lead the photography industry with integrity, empathy, intention and joy. Photography is an art form that holds immense power and importance. And the moments we capture are gifts to generations to come. I create images with a timeless heart, poignancy, and understanding of the moments I am so lucky to find myself in, time and time again. 

If you want to feel seen when you look at your portrait, if you want to hear the laughter of your family when you turn the page, and if you don't want portraits to feel like a chore, we got the same memo. I was a 90's kid with a camcorder in my face and polaroids shaking at every birthday party. I sat on the ladder and posed with a giant denim teddy bear for school photos. The former is why I love what I do...but the latter (the ladder..ha) is what fuels how I do what I love to do.

We are the luckiest. To have families we love, moments to cherish and reasons to celebrate. And that makes me the luckiest of the lucky...because I get to be a part of my clients' love and moments too. I couldn't be more grateful.
