I had the incredible honor of photographing my cousins Dallas bridal portraits around this time last year.  A steady pillar of comfort, joy, and steadiness, Baillie has always meant the world to me my family. So, it was an incredible honor to bless her with this gift, her beauty through my eyes.

A lot of my childhood memories revolve around time spent with Baillie. I remember the first time my Paw Paw got angry with me. It was because I splashed her in the kiddie pool in their backyard. I remember sliding on the linoleum kitchen floor to sneak extra fudge and Oreos before Thanksgiving day. And now, I will remember the joy surrounding some of her life’s sweetest memories. I’ll remember when my aunt Nancy helped her into her gown on the side of a residential neighborhood street as construction workers looked, confused, in our direction. I’ll remember how sweaty we all were, because Texas doesn’t yield it’s weather, not even for the sake of beauty. And, I’ll remember how her eyes sparkled when she started to think about Caleb. I can’t wait to share more memories from her actual wedding day but those moments will have to wait their turn.

Her stunning gown was exactly what I had always envisioned for this hidden spot in Dallas. The images on the stairs leave you feeling like you’ve just seen a real life Cinderella. I scouted this spot months in advance, waiting for the perfect session for it and it couldn’t have been more of a perfect fit for Baillie’s bridals. It isn’t an easy find, stone steps surrounded by gorgeous greenery, in Dallas Texas. But, here we were on a hot August day, thankful for the shade and the breeze from the nearby creek. Every bridal session is special to me, but this one will always hold a unique place in my heart.
