Cortney and Grant have a sweet, steady and thoughtful love. They consider everyone, and everything. Their intention toward others, their love story and their wedding made their wedding at Shady Oaks Country Club one for the books. It was an absolute honor to experience the joy that came along with this stunner of a day at the golf club where Grant learned to play golf from his Dad with his brother when they were little.

When Cortney first reached out to me to photograph their wedding day, I was nothing short of honored. She was one of the leading ladies at one of DFWs top wedding planning firms for years. She was always so thorough, thoughtful and helpful on wedding days that her team had planned, so to be thought of to capture her day was nothing short of pure sweetness to me.

Surrounded by some of the most encouraging, kind and fun friends and family I have ever had the pleasure of photographing, Cortney and Grant said their “I do’s.” The wind gusted and blew tears horizontally across everyones faces as they read their vows, and that same wind would bring a thunderstorm rolling in after they had said their goodbyes.

We stole moments together on the golf course, dodging sprinklers and snuggling along the way. We talked about their future and their pups, but mostly I just watched them, fully content and so in love.

If every wedding day was like this one, they wouldn’t just happen on weekends y’all. Everyone would want to have one and be at one, every day. At least, I know I would.
